The 65th Miss Universe is already over but the Miss Universe fever in the Philippines has not subsided yet. It has been a tradition here at Amiciness to have a go at answering the Q&A questions of the major beauty pageants; may it be for Miss Earth, Miss World, Miss International, and of course, Miss Universe. You’ve already read what the candidates have to say and how they fared in the 65th Miss Universe Q&A. But now, let’s find out how Amiciness answers. Remember, this is all for fun (and for my own intellectual stimulation). Starting with the first question…

Via Tripped Media

Q: “What is the most significant change you’ve seen in the world in the last 10 years?”

Amiciness: “In the last 10 years, the most significant change I’ve seen is that the world is now more connected than ever. In my country, we have families separated by oceans, going abroad to find better opportunities. Technology has enabled these families to stay connected and still be a family.”

Q: “What are you most excited about and what most concerns you when it comes to the presidency of Donald Trump?”

Amiciness: “Frankly, I don’t know anything about Donald Trump except that he was in The Apprentice and I used to watch that show in AXN. You’re fired!”

You're Fired!
I loved this show!

Q: “Name a current or past world leader that you admire and why.”

Amiciness: “Thank you for that wonderful question. None. Mahal kita, Philippines!”

Q: “Given today’s worldwide refugee crisis do countries have an obligation to accept refugees or do they have the right to close their borders?”

Amiciness: “I can’t speak for other countries but I believe it’s their discretion to open their borders to refugees or not. However, growing up, my mother always reminded me to always lend a hand to those in need, and that includes refugees, especially those forced to run away from their homes torn by war.”

Q: “If you were able to participate in the women’s march on January 21st, what would you have been marching for?”

Amiciness: “Simple. I would have marched to see the day when a “women’s march” would not be a thing anymore. The day when women all around the world are given the respect and recognition that they deserve.”

Q: “Why do you believe that violence is so prevalent in today’s society and what can we do about it?”

Amiciness: “I believe saying that violence is SO prevalent in today’s society is faulty generalization. Unless I see statistics, I can’t answer the question further.”

Q: “Name something over the course of your life that you failed at and tell us what you learned from that experience.”

Amiciness: “In my 27 years of existence, I only failed in one course, Industrial Engineering Financial Management. The final exam was quite tricky.  If you made one careless mistake at the beginning of the exam, all your succeeding answers would be wrong. If I was courageous enough to start over and rethink my answers, I wouldn’t have failed.  *feigns sadness and grins* Then again, I took the course again and aced it. *speaks louder* Never be afraid to start over even if you think you have little time left. You’ll never know how many points you’ll get from trying. ”
