Taiwan Excellence connects Filipinos to a smarter world

Exciting brands and fun activities await at the first-ever Taiwan Excellence Day in SMX Aura Convention Center in Taguig on June 15 to 16. The program aims to promote Taiwan as the Asian economic powerhouse’s vibrant image, culture, brands, and industries to enhance awareness and business cooperation with Philippine consumers and partners. Most Popular AsNTM Episodes Based on Amiciness Numbers

I was looking at Amiciness’s stats over the years because I was looking for a trend for my next Six Sigma project. Joke. No, I just felt like I needed to pivot our data in Microsoft Excel, and maybe, AsNTM producers may find this useful. You’re welcome.

Quick background, the blog was officially a “.com” in 2015 but we started blogging way back in 2013, when Asia’s Next Top Model started. Although we have a small following on other areas, majority of our readers and viewers are AsNTM fans. Most of our popular posts are AsNTM-related, even on Youtube. I guess it’s safe to say that we can correlate Amiciness views with how well netizens have received each AsNTM cycle. Data on cycles 1 and 2 are not as reliable; we weren’t on WordPress yet at that time.

Ladies and gents, here are some notable observations based on Amiciness numbers gathered from January 2015 to May 2018.

ZenFone 5 Series: ASUS’ Most Intelligent Phone Yet

ASUS Philippines unveiled ZenFone 5, the latest of its ZenFone series last April 14 at One Esplanade. Thousands of Zenfans all over the Philippines, including yours truly, flocked the #Backto5 anticipating the arrival of the ZenFone 5 Series, ASUS’ most intelligent phone yet. 🙌

Zenfone 5 Launch
ZenFone 5 was sold out in just 45 minutes. WOW!

It was 10 years ago when ASUS first entered the Philippine market. Now, ASUS phones have reached 1.8 million users. With its very competitive pricing and continually innovating features, it’s no wonder ASUS has become one of the most sought out brands. In fact, the ZenFone 5 was declared sold out in just 45 minutes! This was also true for on-site sales during the launch event itself, which brought the total sell-out of 1,000 ZenFone 5’s and ZenFone 5Q’s combined. That’s just under an hour of their first day in the country. That’s impressive! 👏

Trekz Air Bone Conduction Headphones Review

So… funny story: my sister was looking at a pair of Trekz Air headphones displayed at Digital Walker (not sponsored; most of my posts are not sponsored anyway). She was so excited to show it to me thinking it only cost Php 850, which made me excited as well. Later we discover (to both our horrors) that it was actually priced at Php 8,550. Fortunately (or sadly, depending on the perspective), this wasn’t enough to stop me from buying the product.

AsNTM6 Is Back on FOXLife

Model-host Dominic Lau joins Cara, Cindy and Yu Tsai on the panel for Asia's Next Top Model Cycle 5 Episode 8

Asia’s Next Top Model is back for its sixth cycle. But it’s gonna be premiering anytime this March like we’ve been used to. The official Facebook page and Twitter of AsNTM posted the call for auditions just this week. Obviously shooting hasn’t begun and estimating the timeline, AsNTM Cycle 6 will most probably premiere sometime between September and October. I’m bad at estimations though. 😅

For all aspiring AsNTM6 models in the Philippines and the whole of Asia, now’s your chance to audition and be on top. Be the next Jessica, Sheena, Gani, Tawan and Maureen. Who will be the next Asia’s. Next. Top. Model?

BTW, I just found out that Star World has been rebranded to FOXLife. (Sorry, been busy at work! 😂) I was a Star World baby. I always used to watch Dharma and Greg, Suddenly Susan and Malcolm in the Middle among others on Star World after school. I’m kinda nostalgic right now. 😢

Anyway, I’m still excited for AsNTM6. I do hope that this season will be even better than its predecessors. Less drama and more modeling, pretty please. 🙏  I am also hoping that more countries will be represented this year. How about Cambodia? Myanmar? Mongolia? (Tugs was so robbed!) And fans, please be more constructive. Play nice, will ya? Don’t be blind followers and know when a picture is bad or good. Let’s respect each other’s opinions and PLEASE NO 👏 MORE 👏 SPOILERS! 👏

Are you as excited as I am? What are your expectations for AsNTM6? Where do you think the model house will be? Will it be in Singapore again or will it be in a country the show hasn’t been to yet? Sound off below in the comments section. Really, I wanna know.

Then vs Now #OPPOF5 #CaptureTheRealYou

Our generation is both lucky and unlucky to have social media aid us in documenting our Then vs Now moments. Each photo we post becomes a memory that we’d remember forever. When it pops on Timehop that is. HAHA! Each post tells a story that captures the moment as you remember it. Or at least the emotion you felt at that time and why.

Change
OHEM.

I am what I am now because of how I was then. So with all my courage, I’m sharing my Then vs Now photos for your satisfaction as I look back on my journey as well. As Steve Jobs said, “You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards…” Ready?
