Asia’s Next Top Model is back for its sixth cycle. But it’s gonna be premiering anytime this March like we’ve been used to. The official Facebook page and Twitter of AsNTM posted the call for auditions just this week. Obviously shooting hasn’t begun and estimating the timeline, AsNTM Cycle 6 will most probably premiere sometime between September and October. I’m bad at estimations though. 😅
For all aspiring AsNTM6 models in the Philippines and the whole of Asia, now’s your chance to audition and be on top. Be the next Jessica, Sheena, Gani, Tawan and Maureen. Who will be the next Asia’s. Next. Top. Model?
BTW, I just found out that Star World has been rebranded to FOXLife. (Sorry, been busy at work! 😂) I was a Star World baby. I always used to watch Dharma and Greg, Suddenly Susan and Malcolm in the Middle among others on Star World after school. I’m kinda nostalgic right now. 😢
Anyway, I’m still excited for AsNTM6. I do hope that this season will be even better than its predecessors. Less drama and more modeling, pretty please. 🙏 I am also hoping that more countries will be represented this year. How about Cambodia? Myanmar? Mongolia? (Tugs was so robbed!) And fans, please be more constructive. Play nice, will ya? Don’t be blind followers and know when a picture is bad or good. Let’s respect each other’s opinions and PLEASE NO 👏 MORE 👏 SPOILERS! 👏

So… funny story: my sister was looking at a pair of Trekz Air headphones displayed at Digital Walker (not sponsored; most of my posts are not sponsored anyway). She was so excited to show it to me thinking it only cost Php 850, which made me excited as well. Later we discover (to both our horrors) that it was actually priced at Php 8,550. Fortunately (or sadly, depending on the perspective), this wasn’t enough to stop me from buying the product.
Our generation is both lucky and unlucky to have social media aid us in documenting our Then vs Now moments. Each photo we post becomes a memory that we’d remember forever. When it pops on Timehop that is. HAHA! Each post tells a story that captures the moment as you remember it. Or at least the emotion you felt at that time and why.
I am what I am now because of how I was then. So with all my courage, I’m sharing myThen vs Now photos for your satisfaction as I look back on my journey as well. As Steve Jobs said, “You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards…”Ready?
I just started watching Fight for My Way on iFlix and I instantly fell in love with the show. I’ve heard this K-drama before from my friends who are addicted to all things Korean pero hindi ako nakinig at di ko pa rin pinanuod. 🙁 Hi friends, I know you’re proud of me.
Before you read this review, get your Himala, Isang Musikal tickets first before it’s too late. [Update: Tickets are all sold-out]. Believe me and all the reviews, just this once, this is a must-watch. You have to see this musical. It’s the best Filipino musical I’ve ever seen and it could very well become your favorite too.
The Sandbox Collective and 9 Works Theatrical are re-staging Ricky Lee and Vincent DeJesus’ Himala: Isang Musikal based on the 1982 critically acclaimed classic by the late Ishmael Bernal.
After the presscon, I’ve never been more excited to see a musical. Especially that the root material was a film I’ve been watching in Cinema One (formely Pinoy Blockbuster Channel) when I was a child every lazy afternoon. In case you hadn’t already known, Himala‘s story centers on Elsa who claims to have the power of healing after the Blessed Virgin Mary appears to her. News of her miracles spread within and beyond her hometown Cupang attracting thousands of sick and curious followers. This causes an irreversible disturbance to the once sleepy town.
To end its 50th season, the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) is producing a Filipino adaptation of Marsha Norman’s Pulitzer Prize-winning drama ‘night, Mother starring Eugene Domingo as Jessie, making her theatrical comeback, and Sherry Lara as Thelma.
In contrast to PETA’s previous productions, ‘night, Mother doesn’t present a grand narrative (or even a rousing musical number to conclude it). Rather, it is a more intimate performance, giving the audience a glimpse of a night with Jessie and her mother Thelma. Jessie who suffers from epilepsy casually tells her mother that she has long decided to end her life that evening. Thelma, of course, with all the arguments in the world tries to convince her daughter that life is still worth living. For one hour and 24 minutes, happening in real-time, the audience witnesses the struggle between the two, and within themselves, that will keep them on the edge of their seats until the end.
ASUS Zenfone Max Plus was officially launched last January 14 at the SM Mall of Asia Atrium. Along with other tech-lovers and Zenfans, Amiciness was there to witness the unveiling of the Battery King of smartphones hosted by fitness coach and TV host, Vince Velasco.
Honestly, I didn’t expect to be swooned by the Zenfone Max Plus but I was. I love it! I would have bought one right then and there if only my finances allowed me to. (The queue was also long!) Anyway, let me tell you why I would buy the ASUS Zenfone Max Plus.
Yesterday, my friends and I decided to watch Ang Dalawang Mrs. Reyes from Star Cinema, Quantum Films and IdeaFirst Company. It stars Judy Ann Santos as Lianne and Angelica Panganiban as Cindy. Two young wives with one common problem. Their husbands cheated. Inasawa ng asawa nila ang isa’t isa.
I entered the cinema without expectations. Joke. It was directed by Jun Robles Lana so I had expectations. I haven’t seen a trailer but I read an article on PEP that portion of the movie was shot in Taiwan during gay pride. That’s where I found out that the husbands were played by Joross Gamboa (Gary) and JC De Vera (Felix). Continue reading “Must-Watch: Ang Dalawang Mrs. Reyes”
I’ve been to Korea three times since 2016. The first one was when my friends and I had a memorable autumn experience in Seoul and Sokcho. I literally have tons of videos in my hard drive. I didn’t get to edit them on time and share them to you last year so here’s a short teaser of the first Amiciness Goes on a VL: Korea episode. Hope you enjoy!
