ASUS Philippines unveiled ZenFone 5, the latest of its ZenFone series last April 14 at One Esplanade. Thousands of Zenfans all over the Philippines, including yours truly, flocked the #Backto5 anticipating the arrival of the ZenFone 5 Series, ASUS’ most intelligent phone yet. 🙌
It was 10 years ago when ASUS first entered the Philippine market. Now, ASUS phones have reached 1.8 million users. With its very competitive pricing and continually innovating features, it’s no wonder ASUS has become one of the most sought out brands. In fact, the ZenFone 5 was declared sold out in just 45 minutes! This was also true for on-site sales during the launch event itself, which brought the total sell-out of 1,000 ZenFone 5’s and ZenFone 5Q’s combined. That’s just under an hour of their first day in the country. That’s impressive! 👏
ASUS Zenfone Max Plus was officially launched last January 14 at the SM Mall of Asia Atrium. Along with other tech-lovers and Zenfans, Amiciness was there to witness the unveiling of the Battery King of smartphones hosted by fitness coach and TV host, Vince Velasco.
Honestly, I didn’t expect to be swooned by the Zenfone Max Plus but I was. I love it! I would have bought one right then and there if only my finances allowed me to. (The queue was also long!) Anyway, let me tell you why I would buy the ASUS Zenfone Max Plus.
The Philippines is popularly known as the “selfie capital of the world.” We Pinoys love taking selfies. We do it in the morning after waking up. When traveling in front of a nice view. Even when we’re just idly seated in the bus terminal for hours because of traffic. Selfies (and wefies) serve as an expression of how we feel. For me, it’s like a confidence boost that tells you “you’re beautiful,” “everything’s gonna be okay,” or “you can do it!” Selfies transform you and your mood, and how you look at the world.
Transforming lives, one smile at a time
Likewise, ASUS Philippines in partnership with Operation Smile Phiippines (OSP) enable selfies to transform lives, one smile at a time.
Did you know that every three minutes, a child is born with a cleft lip or palate? This was the main reason Operation Smile Philippines was established in 1982. They started their mission to bring smiles to children with cleft lips through various medical missions and programs for children with this condition, beginning with gathering donations and volunteers and in the process, creating significant changes in these kids’ lives. Its medical volunteers have shared how participating in this cause has made quite an impact in their own lives as well. The foundation has officially been around for 35 years as a non-stock, non-profit later, since its registry in 1988.
Share a selfie and join the advocacy
Last August, ASUS Philippines recently announced its partnership with Operation Smile Philippines at the much-anticipated launch of the ZenFone 4 Series in the local market. In line with its hero tagline, “We Love Selfie & Wefie,” ASUS Philippines’ 10th year anniversary, and together with 35 years of the Operation Smile Philippines, the global tech giant introduced #4theSmile campaign. The said campaign wishes to bring smiles to the 4,500 Filipino children who are born with cleft lips and palates each year, by inviting everyone to contribute and help create smiles.
By joining #4theSmile, each participant will help push further the advocacy that Operation Smile Philippines has been supporting across different countries in the world. With each selfie and wefie taken by any of the ZenFone 4 series that is posted on Twitter and Instagram, using the hashtag #4theSmile, ASUS Philippines will donate and P1.00 to support a medical mission. ASUS Philippines aims to get roughly around the magnanimous number of 1,300,000 selfies and wefies combined before the year ends.
“There is a relationship that exists even between strangers. ASUS Philippines is here to prove just that by turning selfies and wefies into shared moments that go beyond the people within the frame and actually touch other people’s lives for the better,” shares ASUS Philippines Country Manager, George Su, as he echoes their newest campaign philosophy – From ME to WE. “Through this new partnership, we want our selfie-loving audience to take their selfies and wefies to another level by sharing their smiles to brighten the lives of thousands of children with cleft lips and palates, and help bring these children’ssmiles to the world,”
ASUS Philippines launched its new Zenfone 4 series last August 19 at the SMX Convention Center. Usually, phone companies just launch one model at a time but ASUS released a whole line of different phones for the inner photographer in you.
We Love Photo 💗
Basically, ASUS’ market (for now) are millennials (and non-millennials) that value experience or rather documenting experience. If it ain’t documented, it didn’t happen. Those who love taking pictures of travels or any memorable moment.
Focusing on the different aspects of mobile photography (i.e., aperture, battery and beautification feature), ASUS came up with a line of powerful and affordable smartphones ready to compete with its predecessors.
