Asia’s Next Top Model has successfully wrapped up another cycle. I can’t believe it’s been four cycles already. I can still remember my first AsNTM post in my blog (then on Tumblr). I’ve recapped every episode (and reviewed some of them), but now it’s time to take a look back at what the show did great and what we, the fans, think need to be cut and made-over. Below are some of my literal reactions to the recently concluded Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 4.
Patricia from Indonesia has made it to the Top 3 of Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 4. Will she make her country proud by being the first to win back-to-back?
Best Photo: Harper’s Bazaar Singapore
Worst Photo: ZALORA Color Couture
For you, what are Patricia’s best and worst photos? Will Team Indonesia get a back-to-back win? Is Patricia the newest Asia’s Next Top Model? Sound off in the comment section below.
It’s only been three cycles of Asia’s Next Top Model. But what would an all-star cycle look like? Here is my dream AsNTM All-Star cast from the girls in the cycles so far:
- Stephanie (Philippines/Cycle 1) 1
- Jodilly (Philippines/2) 2
- Aimee (Singapore/3) 3
These girls are out for vengeance. They almost clinched the title… but not quite. Will they do enough to get the crown the second time around?
The Early Exits
- Rachel (India/Cycle 1)
- Trang (Vietnam/1)
- Marie (Japan/2) 4
- Celine (Vietnam/3) 5
Fan favorites gone too early. Will they climb up the ranks to the top, or stay stuck at the bottom?
The Dark Horses
- Aastha (Nepal/Cycle 1)
- Josephine (Malaysia/2) 6
- Melissa (Malaysia/3) 7
We see the potential in these girls, but they might not have shown their full capacity in their respective cycles. Will these girls break through the all stars and shine in their own right?
The “Mean Girls”
- Helena (Hong Kong/Cycle 1) 8
- Janice (Indonesia/2)
- Tia (Thailand/2) 9
- Tahlia (Indonesia/3)
No cycle is complete without the “villains.” They bring the drama, but will they bring their game face in the all-star battlefield?

Looking back this cycle, there were only a handful of episodes where I could pick my top favorite photographs. I also tried very hard to, as much as possible, choose one picture per model, but I could only shortlist the following for obvious reasons. Anyway, here are my top 10 favorite photos in Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 3, starting with:
10. Aimee (Shanghai Beauty)
Love love love all around. Aimee probably had the best hair (next to Gani) since she was not wearing horrible, horrible wigs, so points for that. Her booty tooch demanded attention, which balances the distraction from the busy background and the handsome young lad on the right. Lastly, the dangling strap on her left shoulder was the cherry on top that multiplied the photo’s sexiness by a zillion.
Congratulations Ayu Gani from Indonesia for winning Cycle 3 of Asia’s Next Top Model. She was the girl on top of the competition, and will represent Asia in the international modelling scene. As you know, aside from the title of Asia’s Next Top Model, one of the fabulous prizes is a cover for Harper’s Bazaar Singapore. And here it is, or as they say in AsNTM, “here is Gani’s best picture…”
Last time on Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 3, we found out who Asia’s Next Top Model is for Cycle 3. But before we knew that, the models got to have one final photo shoot. It’s a nod to Singapore’s colonial past: the girls had to pose in the midst of colonial architecture while wearing haute couture. Since this is their final 3, I won’t be ranking them anymore. Instead, I’ll point out each one’s pros and cons. Starting with Alex Perry’s pick, Aimee.
Amiciness is recapping the finale of Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 3. This week we’re finally crowning the next representative of Asia in the modelling world. One final photo shoot, and one final runway will determine who will be this cycle’s Asia’s. Next. Top. Model.
Watch with us at 8:45 P.M. on STAR World to find out who will be Asia’s Next Top Model. Who is going to win all of these fabulous prizes? A Subaru XV STI car, a campaign for TRESemmé, a magazine cover and spread for Harper’s Bazaar Singapore, and an international modelling contract with Storm Models Management in London.
While waiting for the episode, check out last week’s full recap and my picks for last episode. I also posted the girls’ portfolios so far. You may have noticed that I added a thumbs up/down rating at the end of each post. Let’s find out what you, the AsNTM3 fans, thought about the girls making it to the Top 3. As of 7:15 P.M. (UTC+8) tonight, Aimee has a net score of -10 (14 thumbs up and 24 thumbs down), Gani has a net score of -11 (30 up and 41 down), and Monika has a net score of +43 (56 up and 13 down). Monika is still your favorite to win. Let’s see how the girls fare in the finale.
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD. PHOTOS ADDED.
Last time on Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 3, the models shot fashion styles in different decades for a Harper’s Bazaar magazine cover. The girls had to portray styles from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. Who were successful in their fashion time travel and who got lost in time? Here’s my own call out order:
