Klassikal Music Foundation (KMF) scholars take centerstage anew for “One with the Stars”+

Back from last year’s hit classical concert “Songs from a Silver World,” the talented scholars of Klassikal Music Foundation (KMF) are set to put a grand twist on some of the most enjoyable songs ever written in Klassikal Music Foundation presents: One with the Stars, KMF’s 10th anniversary musical extravaganza.

“One with the Stars” will shine the spotlight on the KMF scholars through timeless operatic numbers (Via Swirling Over Coffee)

Founded in 2007 by McDonald’s Philippines Founder and Chairman Dr. George T. Yang, KMF is a scholarship fund that provides assistance to deserving students who are financially incapable of pushing through with costly music degrees. By doing so, this brings these wunderkinds closer to their dreams.

My Favorites of Eurovision Song Contest 2016+

Another year, another Eurovision. This year, for Eurovision Song Contest 2016, Europe (and some other Asian countries plus Australia) is coming together in Stockholm, Sweden this year after the country’s victory in 2015 with Måns Zelmerlöw and the song “Heroes.”

Sweden's Måns Zelmerlöw won the Eurovision Song Contest last year. Also on photo is 2014's winner Conchita Wurst. (Elena Volotova, EBU)

Zayn is Back!+

I missed seeing Zayn and hearing his beautiful voice. I might have teared up a bit during his debut performance of his latest single “It’s You” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. It’s the first time he’s performing solo on television!

I remember when the news broke that my favorite member Zayn Malik was leaving One Direction and I was devastated. But not as devastated as my sister was. She was crushed. She even wore a hat for several days, saying it was her way of mourning Zayn’s leaving the group. One Direction was never the same without Zayn, we both said.

I’m so proud of Zayn, now that he can do the music he enjoys and likes. I’m excited to hear the rest of his songs on his first EP Mind of Mine. Can’t wait for more of Zayn!

You Wouldn’t Believe the Voice of this Girl!+

Bernadette Berroya or Benneth for short is my castmate from #LuckyStiffMNL. She played one of the lead roles, Annabelle: a woman very passionate about dogs that she had two songs dedicated for them.

The very first time I heard Benneth sang was from a video of her singing For the First Time in Forever from Frozen in our theater workshop. In that moment, I was blown away. I was an instant fan. Her voice sounded like how I imagine angels sing to the departed when they enter heaven. She is unbelievably talented and all this talent is packaged in her cute and small stature. What made me like her even more is her genuine personality. She is naturally humble and kind that no one (I think) expects her to do anything close to an ounce of evilness.

I believe in this girl and her talent. I believe that Ellen reads this post and she would fly Benneth to her show. Someday, she will make it big.

Share this post and make the Happy Working Song everybody’s LSS.
